so, i'm reading the 9/11 commission report. and here on page one, the PREFACE, for crying out loud, my head is already exploding. with frustration. and tension. this is the problem, this is the PROBLEM. right. here. i underlined it. the idea that america can return to a safe little bubble, where no one will eeeeeever be mad at us, or want to attack us. so endless war is justified. taking away people's civil liberties is justified. torture of people is justified. discrimination of people is justified. in the name of a goal that is. not. feasible. i can't even talk about this. page one, y'all. page one. i'm going to have to grit my teeth through this one.
